10 year old 14.2hh Lipizzaner cross gelding
George’s Story:‘George’ came to us in late August of 2025 as a rescue. He was represented as a kid’s pony, although his story runs deeper with evidence of abuse in his past.
A very thorough PPE found that this sweet soul had been the subject of physical abuse & trauma. Remarkably his clinical exam was exemplary, with radiographs providing evidence that he had been shot multiple times by a BB gun. The scars on his body found after he was body clipped last winter tell a story only George knows.
Over the course of the past 9 months we have rehabbed his trust in humans and retrained his body & mind. George is a perfect example of how resilient & forgiving a horse can be with kindness and understanding. He is now ready to move to his forever partner and home.
George’s Qualities:George is a gentleman on the ground; easy to handle & groom. Stands quietly for the vet and farrier and is straight forward to shoe.
He has very comfortable gaits, like sitting on a cloud. George has been introduced to trot poles and small jumps, and enjoys this type of work.
He’s been on a handful of trail rides with other horses.
George would suit a rider with solid horse sense to continue his training in Working Equitation, OSET, Pony Club, Eventing, and the like.
George has a set of radiographs on file and is UTD with all annual wellness needs.
$15,000 to the perfect home
