Tally Riding Academy is an all inclusive horseback riding program located in the exquisite Anaheim Hills, California. The Academy not only offers beginner English and Western riding lessons to children and adults, but also serves people with physical and mental disabilities. Tally Riding Academy opened its doors in June 2021, and has onboarded a new program: Tally Therapeutic Horsemanship to provide equine assisted services to children and adults with disabilities.
Tally Riding Academy's founder, Maryam Edah-Tally, is certified through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH International) and has experience with 40+ mental and physical disabilities. She spent two years racking up experience, shadowing instructors at the Shea Center, REINS Therapeutic Horsemanship, and ran Back Bay Therapeutic Riding Club's lesson program in Newport Beach, California.
Aside from horses, Maryam is best known for her entrepreneurial endeavors starting her e-Commerce startup Fleur A Cheval at age 17, which sells floral accessories for equestrians and horses. Within two weeks of selling on Etsy, it became an international hit and buzz worthy product, attracting the attentions of famous influencers such as Colton Haynes (American TV Actor on Teen Wolf), Matt Harnecke (GQ Model, Youtube + Equestrian Influencer), and Matilde Brandt (Owner of Norway's Famous Horse, Batman the Friesian).
Maryam started Tally Riding Academy which blossomed out of her passion to teach children and adults about the fundamental principles to become well-rounded horsemen and women in AND out of the arena through natural horsemanship, equitation, and therapeutic/adaptive riding.
Maryam understands first hand how special the bond between humans and horses is as it helped her navigate through life and she has seen it benefit others as well. This is why she is passionate about sharing this magic with you. At Tally Riding Academy the horse is never tacked up FOR you when the lesson starts. YOU learn how to clean the stall, get your hands dirty, groom, train and tack up your horse prior to riding. This is where the magic and bond building happens. We are here to expose you (especially children) to how horses reflect our souls and inner energy. The program revolves around four basic life skills coupled with horsemanship: Gratitude, Empathy, Accountability, and Effective Communication.
