We have a few spots available in our program for the development of young horses, mental / physical rehabilitation, and riders that are interested in meeting their goals with their horses through the power of patience.
FROM AN INTERVIEW WITH THE EQUESTRIAN CATALOG
TEC - Please give us a brief background on your training business?
Boutique style hunter jumper operation that provides quality care, instruction, and training for horses and riders at all levels of competition. Developing young horses. Rehabilitating broken horses.
TEC - What would you say is the most important training method in your program?
Time. Time to be turned out. Time to walk. Time to develop. Time to get strong.
Time to heal. Time to build a solid foundation.
TEC - What do you attribute to the success of your training & riding?
To have been fortunate to meet my mentor and coach Mauro Atzeri, who taught me about the power of patience and how horses learn best through a progression of work that evolves naturally. He instilled in me the importance of spending time with Horses in order to understand them better.
To consider the horse and how they are feeling mentally and physically, and what we are asking of them, but more importantly, the way in which we do things. With respect for the horse.
TEC - Tell us a bit about your Power of Patience platform that is evolving?
The Power of Patience is about change. Changing the way we do things- taking the time to support and understand horses better in order to give them happy, healthy lives.
TEC - What do you admire most about a client, horse owner, sponsor or rider?
I admire Alan Smith as an owner. He sent me his horse to rehabilitate. He's no longer riding, but has stayed faithful to the path of doing whatever the horse needed to recover, which was an incredible amount of time, patience, and money. Not many would have that commitment when the horses are no longer serving their purpose. Alan is an inspiration!
